The Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research (IAI) is an intergovernmental organisation established in 1992, with 19 member countries across the Americas. The institute supports science on global environmental issues, enabling governments of the region to access the best available knowledge and tools for making informed decisions. The IAI focuses on transdisciplinary science, which respectfully brings together knowledge and expertise from diverse nations, cultures, sectors, and academic disciplines to develop real-world solutions to the most pressing issues. Based in Panama City, Panama, the IAI is committed to enabling a well-informed, inclusive, and sustainable Americas.
